PotomaQ is a quantum cryptanalysis company. We bring together quantum researchers, AI engineers, and systems specialists to build the software and handle hardware executions for practical cryptographic workloads.

Origins

Built on prior work

PotomaQ is a new quantum cryptanalysis company building on work by the MultiVM Labs team.

That work includes the ECDSA.Fail paper and contributions to its public circuit challenge. We are building on it through quantum algorithms, research systems and execution software.

Leadership

PotomaQ is led by Ivan Miskovic, CEO and Co-Founder; Ross Nkama, CTO; and Manuel B. Santos, Lead Cryptography Researcher.

Ivan Miskovic

CEO & Co-Founder

Ivan leads company strategy, recruiting and partnerships. He previously worked as an executive at Spin Labs and as a venture-capital operator. He hosts conversations with quantum researchers on Quantum FDN.

Ross Nkama

CTO

Ross leads engineering and AI research systems. He previously worked at Google and Meta AI. His accepted ECDSA.Fail submission of 8 September 2026 reduced the circuit’s Toffoli count at unchanged qubit width.

Manuel B. Santos

Lead Cryptography Researcher

Manuel leads cryptography research. He holds a Ph.D. in Quantum Cryptography from Técnico, University of Lisbon, and an MSc in Applied Mathematics from Imperial College London. He previously worked at Nillion, Tectonic Labs and Tekever, and coauthored ECDSA.Fail under his MultiVM Labs affiliation.
